Overall enjoyable, no negatives

The girl on reception was so lovely & down to earth (blonde/light brownish hair) Hotels location was excellent even though Cobh was only one small street really. Sea view was beautiful and ever changing. Breakfast was delicious! Room was spotless!

Great location

The Commodore Hotel was in a great location. Across the road to the Titanic experience and the ferry to Spike Island. It was close to restaurants and bars. On-site parking was available at a small additional cost. The reception desk staff were friendly and very helpful when we needed to print documents for an upcoming cruise. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The hotel was a great place to stay and i would stay again in the future.

The food was amazing and the hotel was beautiful.

I stayed in room 209 and whilst the room was lovely there was a buzzing noise outside the window all night. But all good besides that.

It was grand!

Proximity to Spike Island. Nice bedrooms, good bath products

Staff in the bar were very pleasant but not attentive. Looked young and inexperienced. We’re slow to take orders, and stood around behind the bar watching and chatting to the one person serving up the drinks

Clean, tidy, very quiet, great location, pleasant unflustered staff.

Location and breakfast

The hotel interior is very, very 'tired', and much in need of a complete overhaul. The basin in the room was cracked, the cistern lid didn't match, the bathroom door didn't shut and no lock, and the carpets were tired throughout. All very 1980s and just tired and worn out. The room however was absolutely spotless and the staff was lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Relaxing Attentive and hrlpful staff. Had to cut stay short so would like to return for a longer visit

We had an excellent room at the front We watched the cruiser leaving which was marvellous

Part of the hotel smelt fusty I know its an old building and seemed damp at the rear but surly maintenance would clear this up. No bar area to sit in comfort I understood there was a snug to sit and drink - it was the night club area (not in use) it was dark and no-one else was around

Apart from not having dinner on Thursday........everything else was v good I would recommend it

Excellent newly refurbished bathroom. We were told about refurbishments and that builders would start work at 9.00am and they did. No noise before 9.00am Good food for breakfast and dinner.

On Thursday, dinner wasn't going to be served after 7.00pm. Ridiculously early to stop serving dinner! We were waiting for our son to arrive at 7.30pm, which he did. We were told where to go elsewhere for food - restaurant and nearby hotel.

It was nice, friendly staff.

Nice Location, right in front of the water.

Some things in the room were a little irritating as in loose windows, grout loose in tiles, make shift repair jobs but it is an old building so I can understand that it is moving and kind of splitting/sloping in parts. The hotel holding €100 on my card until my stay was over, even though I paid in full & was travelling for business, very strange.

Make deposit information clearer

Location, Friendly Staff, Food was great.

For anyone on a budget, having paid for their stay and then being asked to pay another 100 euro deposit was very off-putting as this could put a strain on their financial budget for the time that they are staying that they may not have budgeted for.

This hotel is situated in a great location, very easy walk...

This hotel is situated in a great location, very easy walk to bars, restaurants and attractions. The staff were very obliging and helpful. Comfortable rooms and lovely and warm on a late autumn evening. The breakfast was wonderful as well.

The bathrooms could use a little sprucing up.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Commodore Hotel, would reccomend it to anyone going to Cobh.

Breakfast was very good, evening meals were exceptional, location was excellent also, convenient to everywhere.Staff were really friendly and helpful, a great place to stay.

Location was excellent, parking could be a bit of a problem.

Was charged 100Euro as a pre authorisation to my debit card, despite paying the room rate on arrival. I am still waiting for the charge to be credited back to my account some 26 days later.

The location was perfect, food was lovely.

The location was perfect, food was lovely. The staff were very informative and friendly, from Jess on reception who was great to Brandon who let us in during the night, it was a very welcoming stay.

The building itself could do with some modernisation but the rooms and bathrooms were perfect. There was some noise from an event and when said to staff we were given options but choose not to take them up and the noise ended when we were told it was so happy with that.

Old hotel with great atmosphere and comfortable

The location right at the front of town. The comfortable rooms like a little appartment with a sitting area and bathroom with a wonderful bath and little yellow duck ! The furniture was old style with keeping with the style of the hotel. This town was the last stop for the Titanic and photos and information was in the lounges to look at and I felt I was staying in a titanic room but much bigger! Lift was handy but some stairs were still needed to get to our room. Good cafe/ bar downstairs with great food and Irish service. Very busy for a small town. Great place for steep hills and painted houses ( found my great great grandmother house amongst them !) biggest cathedral with wonderful musical bells ( you can hear them while you sleep) small shops along the foreshore ( everything you need) also the titanic experience across the road from the hotel looked very interesting but we didn’t have time, so the gift shop was a great way to browse for gifts. Good cafes next to the hotel for cheaper and local breakfast. Parking on the street - easy in October maybe not so in the warmer weather. Lovely view of the sea port great to stroll along the shore. A great alternative than busy Cork up the road.

Not much - maybe having to carry the bags up some stairs I loved how the floor boards creaked but some people may find an old hotel not so exciting as me

Like the location, staff are lovely. Delayed checking in , we were not really even considered until

Breakfast is too expensive. You can get excellent breakfasts nearby for half the price.Pub food was very poorP

Pub food was very poor and again over priced. "Turkey & ham"was 3 slices of processed turkey, one slice of thick bacon ,one tablespoonful of bread based stuffing , poured over with gravy.
